Amidst this whirlwind of caring for your little one or ones’, it's crucial to remember to take care of yourself too! Self-care is not selfish; it's essential for your physical and mental well-being as well as your ability to be the best mom you can be.

Quick and Easy Self-Care Tips for New or Experienced Moms:

1. Take Short Breaks: Even just a few minutes of alone time can make a big difference.(setting a timer for your break can help)  Use this time to breathe deeply (even 3 deep breaths can help with anxiety or stress), stretch (simple stretches such as neck rolls can be beneficial), or simply enjoy a cup of tea or even a smoothie.

2. Practice Mindfulness: Mindfulness can help you stay present and reduce stress.

Take a few moments to focus on your breath or engage in a simple meditation exercise (tip: search for a 3 or 5 minute meditation).

3. Get Moving: Physical activity can boost your mood and energy levels. Take a short walk alone or with your baby (try baby wearing or perhaps pushing your baby in a stroller). Yoga is another great way to move your body.

      4. Connect with Others: Reach out to other new moms or mom friends for support. Join a mom's group, attend a baby class, or simply chat with a friend or family member over the phone.

      5. Treat Yourself: Indulge in small pleasures that bring you joy, whether it's a piece of dark chocolate, a bubble bath, or a favorite TV show/podcast.

    6. Dance it out: Put on some headphones or pop in some earbuds and pick a song that makes you happy. Shut the bedroom door, clothes your eyes, and dance it out. Moving your body while blocking out external noises can help you disconnect for a moment and reset.
